The Terrace at Grove Park is Dothan’s premier retirement community. At The Terrace we offer independent living, assisted living and specialty care.

 

Our independent cottages offer full kitchens, garages, washer and dryers, tray ceilings with ceiling fans, sun porches, wall to wall carpeting, handicapped accessible bathrooms and much more. We have one bedroom (1000 sq. ft heated) and two-bedroom (1500 sq. ft heated) cottages. Amenities include two meals per day which can be eaten in out elegant dining room or delivered to your door for no extra cost, all utilities paid, garbage pick-up, bi-monthly detail cleaning, scheduled transportation and an individual alert device that alerts  our Licensed Nurse on campus -- 24 hours per day, seven days per week.

 

Our Assisted Living is staffed by trained assisted care aids and licensed nurses 24 hours per day. We offer three delicious meals per day, a specialized care plan, assistance with all activities of daily living as needed, an excellent activity program including outings, scheduled transportation to doctor’s office and other medical appointments.  We have three sizes of apartments/rooms and our charges are based on room size and the resident’s need for services. Each apartment is private and can be shared with a loved one for a small second occupant charge.

 

Our Specialty Care area has been designed for the residents that are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other related disorders. We have specially trained staff and dedicated nurses with knowledge and experience in meeting the specific needs of our residents. Our Specialty Care has its own licensed nurse supervisor to ensure the highest level of care possible. Our unit has 16 private apartment/rooms and are equipped for the safety and security of each resident. A large fenced courtyard area where the residents may enjoy gardening or a glass of lemonade with a friend is adjacent to the specialty care unit. Your loved one will enjoy dining in their own dining room and they may relax or enjoy an activity in the separate parlor area.
